Though I only really start again using Delphi after some years "off track" with a new project I am working on, using them really saves me lots of time as I can have a sexy looking interface with great usability without needing to "draw" this myself from standard components. The way the persistence stuff in TAdvLUEdit and other advanced edit controls is working is just so nice that it, well it's so nice that I just can't even come up with a suitable description. The best I can say is that there should be a law that no entry component can be without it!
