TMS Smart Setup

Installing from the command line

tms install tms.vcl.uipack tms.webcore tms.fnc.*

What you get with Smart Setup
Extensive support for all Delphi & C++Builder targets
Product version selection and rollback

You can install older versions
of a product by specifying the version you want from the command
line. This works for every TMS release ever published through Smart Setup,
so you can go back to a version from last year if a project needs it.
Snapshots let you record exactly which components and versions you are
using at a given moment and restore that state later, on the same machine
or on another one. You can also pin a product so it doesn't change when
you run an update. The
versioning guide has the details.
Parallel build on multi core machines for faster installs
Builds become way faster as TMS Smart Setup uses all cores in your CPU to perform parallel builds

Automatic package dependency resolving
No more worries when you install TMS packages or your own packages that depend on other TMS packages. TMS Smart Setup is smart enough (pun intended) to know & resolve dependencies. If for example a new release of a TMS FNC product is to be installed and it requires a new update of TMS FNC Core, TMS Smart Setup will handle that for you.
TMS Smart Setup makes updating components a breeze
To update your different TMS products you might have purchased, just
getting all your TMS products to the latest versions is nothing more than
typing from the command line: tms.exe update
It is unlikely youll have enough time to go grab a coffee before
everything on your system is updated (sorry J)
Smart Setup only rebuilds what changed, and it compiles in parallel.
Updating one product doesn't mean rebuilding everything else you have
installed.
