Isolated Storage exception when writing xlsx files

Update to FlexCel 5.7 or newer. FlexCel used to use the classes in System.IO.Packaging to create xlsx files. When the generated xlsx file got too big (about 7mb), it would create a temporary file in the isolated storage. In version 5.7 we have rewritten the System.IO.Package classes in native C#, that doesn't use isolated storage at all, so you shouldn't get this error anymore.

As a side advantage, the newer classes are faster since they write directly to the actual file, instead of writing a temp version to the isolated storage and then copying from the isolated storage to the real file.

TColumnListBox
Fast loading and saving of many items

To add many items to the TColumnListBox, the use of BeginUpdate / EndUpdate will significantly accelerate this.
Example for fast save & load of 5000 items:

TPlannerRangeSelector
When doing a copy & paste of a TPlannerDatePicker I get an access violation

This is a known design time problem of the TPlannerDatePicker that is non-trivial. It has to do with the internal Calendar instance. So far, we have unfortunately not found a workaround or solution for this. Please drag a new component on the form instead of doing a copy & paste.

How to set the dropdown width

You can set the width of the dropdown with:

grid.DropDownControlName.DropDownWidth

What is the DBAdvEdit.EmptyText property?

EmptyText is the text that is displayed in the control when the Text property of the edit control is an empty string. EmptyText as such is just a display value and is unrelated to what is persisted in the databse. EmptyText is typically a grey text suggesting what the user should enter and disappears as soon as the user typed text.

Please make sure the ZIndex property value of the TTIWDBDatepicker is higher than that of the other controls to make the dropdown appear in front of the other controls.

Changing visibility of IntraWeb controls at run-time

When changing the visibility of IntraWeb controls using asynchronous events, please remember to always set the RenderInvisibleControls property to true for the IWForm and all IWRegion controls.

Please note not all TMS IW controls support changing the visible property asynchronously. As a a workaround you can put the control on an IWRegion and change the visible property of the IWRegion instead.

Setting background color of an individual header

By default, the background color for header cells in the Planner is set with Planner.Header.Color / Planner.Header.ColorTo and this color is applied to all header cells. If there is a need to draw attention to a specific position in the Planner, it is easily possible to set a specific header for this position in a different color. This can be done by implementing the OnHeaderDrawProp() event like:

The SectionIndex is the index of the header cell, starting with 0 for the first position. With AColor & AColorTo parameters, the background gradient color can be set.

Setting multicolor text in TvrMatrixGroup

TvrMatrixGroup supports multi color text. You specify the color of words in the text by the prefix %COLORNUM

Color codes are as follows:

1 = clBlack A = clRed 
2 = clMaroon B = clLime 
3 = clGreen C = clYellow 
4 = clOlive D = clBlue 
5 = clNavy E = clFuchsia 
6 = clPurple F = clAqua 
7 = clTeal G = clWhite 
8 = clGray 9 = clSilver

For example "%CHello %AWorld" will display all characters in Hello in clYellow and World in red. To set the character % in the text, write this as %%
