Creating a polygon in C++

This code snippet shows how to create a triangle polygon on WebGMaps with C++. First a path is created, the three points of the triangle are added and with the path, a polygon is added and created on the map:

Using the design-time editor at runtime

To use the TRTFLabel design-time editor at runtime, add the unit FRTFBox to the uses list and add following code:

TDBAdvGrid
After sorting on multiple columns, how to keep the settings on the sorting after closing and reopening the connected dataset

The sort information for multicolumn sort can be get & set via DBAdvGrid.SortSettings This has the functions SaveToString / LoadFromString, so you could use these to persist the sort settings.

Block Animations

Block animations are built-in the iOS Core Animation framework. To demonstrate this with a sample: The following code sets a native UIView component outside the visible area of an iphone application:

  TMSFMXNativeUIView1.SetBounds(0, 480, 320, 480);

Then from a button click for example, the following code animates the view to be displayed on the new position:

  TUIView.OCClass.beginAnimations(nil, nil);
  TUIView.OCClass.setAnimationDuration(0.4);

  TUIView.OCClass.commitAnimations;

Zooming to fit all annotations in MapView

Below is some code that zooms the map to view all annotations that have been added. Add the unit FMX.TMSNativeUICore in the uses list to have access to the MKCoordinateRegion record.

When deploying to the device, the following error appears: [DCC Error] E2597 ld: file not found: /System/Library/Frameworks/...

Starting from version 1.2 you will get a linker error when compiling your project for an iOS Device target, saying that it does not find the ImageIO framework.

To solve this linker error you will need to add this framework to the SDK Manager. How to do this and solve this issue is explained in the "frameworks" chapter in the documentation:

In TadvMemo, you programmatically control the vertical scroll position with the property:

TAdvDateTimePicker
Using empty date/time fields

TAdvDBDateTimePicker does not support the use of empty date/time fields.

This is a limitation that is actually in the underlying Windows date/timepicker control that is used inside TAdvDBDateTimePicker. This Windows date/timepicker control doesn't offer the capability for entry of empty values and as such, we can't workaround this on TAdvDBDateTimePicker.

Our own custom control TDBPlannerDatePicker has this capability though as this is created fully in VCL and does not depend on a Windows control. See: https://www.tmssoftware.com/site/plannercal.asp

How to use bookmarks

You can add a bookmark on a specific line with:

advmemo.Bookmarks[bookmarkindex] := linenumber;

You can retrieve the linenumber for a specific bookmark index with:

advmemo.Bookmarks[bookmarkindex]: integer;

Using :

advmemo.BookmarkIndex[bookmarkindex]: integer

is just for putting an extra number on the book mark icon in the gutter.

Example:

When using TIWAdvGridExcelIO to send an XLS file to the browser, my app freezes.

IntraWeb forms have a property called LockOnSubmit. This is to prevent the user from double clicking on a form when a submit is already in progress. However, it is incompatible with some functions such as SendFile and SendStream. If you are performing any of these, make sure this property is set to False in the form where they are used.
