After installing a new version of the TMS Async and running my application, I get an error similar to : [DCC Warning] VaComm.pas (line 907 and 915): W1000 Symbol

This is a harmless warning. Resume is still available and functional and this will not affect the operation of TMS Async in Delphi. If you really want to remove this warning, surround this with:

{$WARNINGS OFF}

{$WARNINGS ON}

For a 24hr time format use:

Redirection for iPhone, iPod, iPad browser

In case you want to show a different web application for users of a desktop browser versus users of an iPhone, iPod, iPad browser, following code can be added in the server controller to redirect:

TDBAdvGrid
Filtering and sorting in TDBAdvGrid

If you set grid.PageMode= false, you can use the same capabilities to filter as for a TAdvStringGrid

If you want to use the built-in sorting capabilities of the grid, you need to set grid.PageMode= false, but you can as well perform sorting on dataset level instead with PageMode = true.

Please have a look at the demos ADOSort / BDESort in the TDBAdvGrid samples distribution as well as the topic on sorting in the TDBAdvGrid PDF developers guide that explains how you can use the OnCanSort event to achieve this.

How to print

There is no built-in method to directly print a THotSpotImage.
Use the method HotSpotImage.PaintTo() to print to the Printer Canvas or to print to a memory bitmap and send this bitmap to the printer.

Lock application with forms in DLLs

A DLL has its own application and screen instance. Therefore, TAdvLockApp cannot know what possible form is active when this form was instantiated from a DLL. The solution for this issue is to initialize the DLL Application & Screen instance to be the same as the main EXE Application and Screen instance. This could be done by exporting a function in the DLL that sets this and call it from the main EXE:

Preventing that items are moved to specific time slots

If you want to prevent that at runtime a PlannerItem is moved to a specific timeslot, this can be done from the OnItemMove event. In this event, simply restore the original PlannerItem coordinates and call Abort. Sample code:

Using a client-aligned TIWAdvWebGrid

If TIWAdvWebGrid controls is client aligned, you can set the WidthType of every column to wtPercent with an appropriate Width value to make the grid resize when the browser window is resized.

Why does my TIWAdvWebGrid control not work correctly when using multiple instances on one form?

Make sure each TIWAdvWebGrid control on your form has a unique ID property value.

When installing the TMS IntraWeb Components in Delphi xxxx, the following error appears: [Fatal Error] IWTMSDxxxx.dpk(44): E2202 Required package 'dclIntraweb_y_z' not found.

This means that IntraWeb is not correctly setup. Please make sure that the folder where dclIntraweb_y_z.dcp is located is added to your Delphi library path and then retry to install.

Moving the indicator on the timeline with mouse click

Normally the user have to drag the indicator to change the position of the indicator on the timeline. To move the indicator on the timeline with a mouse click, you'd need to do this programmatically.

From the mousedown event, you can get the time of the spot clicked with AdvSmoothTimeLine.XToDateTime(x). You could then for example store a reference to the last indicator clicked in the OnIndicatorClick event and when it is assigned perform the move via:

To include your company name as the verified company you'll need to purchase a digital certificate and sign the spawned updater app with your own certificate. For the purchase of digital signatures we'd recommend to have a look at GlobalSign.

Unfortunately this is not us enforcing this, this is Microsoft's security policy. It will only allow digitally signed executables to replace files under \Program Files folder.

The files you need + instructions to perform custom signing of the updater application are available upon email request.
