WhatsApp

Hello,

is there a way to implement WhatsApp in the near future?
I think a lot of people could use that.

Unfortunately there is currently no control available that integrates with the WhatsApp service.
I'd suggest to enter this request in our feature request system http://www.tmssoftware.com/site/fr.asp so we can measure interest of other users and with sufficient interest, we can start this development.

I know you don't have a component yet. That's why I'm asking if you want to integrate something like this.

If you are aware of an API description/documentation for whatsapp, we'd be happy to have a look at it and investigate the feasibility to write a component for it.

Hello Bruno

Are there any roadmap plans for the new cloud package component which uses the   "Whatsapp Business API" (see Request 2479 and 2369)? It think it should be an easy task for you guys to implement it. :)

Thanks a lot !

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion.
We'll consider adding the Whatsapp API service in the future.

Hi Bart

Any further news on this.?

It would be nice to send messages using "WhatsApp" from both "Desktop Delphi" applications and also from "Web Applications" (eg. TMS Webcore)

WhatsApp as you know is very popular right now with
only about 2 billion users and counting!.

Thank you

Kamran

We have investigated this. To use the API officially, it is only possible through Whatsapp business providers. We have been in touch with such service provider and this process of approval is already very restrictive. Even if we would manage to get approval for developing such components, customers using the component would need to go this process as well. As long as this is so restrictive, we do not see this feasible to go through this process and be involved in support that is more related to restrictiveness of the service provider than our components itself.
